Gondoliers auditions: help!
This week, I'm auditioning for
mitgsp for the first time in many years (my last show with them was Utopia in April 2003 Iolanthe in Nov. 2004). Their show this spring is The Gondoliers, which I really, really want to do... enough that I'd just as contentedly serve in the chorus. (I wanted to do Ruddigore just as much two springs ago, but in the end couldn't swing the time commitment. This year, I am prioritizing differently.)
[Poll #1520217]
ETA: I ended up singing for the Duchess, with "Sir Rupert Murgatroyd" (sorry, gang, I just can't seem to get behind "Were I thy bride"), and since I also got to pick my reading, I read for Tessa ("and... and I've done!"). Results TBA!

FWIW, most of the major roles in 2009's Mikado were not filled by MIT students or alums, so you might well have a decent chance at a specific role.
