Erev Xmas

jessruth is here! Rah! -- Only right now she's napping on my couch. I should probably be napping too, 'cause while this cold has largely abated (having shifted into kind of a dull cough), I'm still feeling wiped out from it. gilana said the same thing.

We're going to have to think of something fun to entertain ourselves with tonight. We might try to find an open Ethopian place for dinner with my homeboys, but then ablock is going on the Jewish singles prowl at one of the major two competing such events tonight. I suspect we'll end up hanging out at home and go to bed early. Anyone with better ideas -- or who wants to join us for a game of Scrabble -- is welcome to call.

Last year I had a bunch of people over for Xmas brunch, but I don't think that's so much in the cards for this year. Still, I should probably remember to go buy milk and stuff before the stores all close.

I have not yet sent any presents to my faraway family. I've bought some, but not all, and I haven't shipped any of them out. Part of my brain feels badly about this, but the rest of it can't be bothered. I figure, as long as it gets there before New Year's, that's kind of enough for me, so it will have to be enough for them. :-}

mzrowan and I were partly stymied by the confluence of Christmas eve and Saturday causing much of Coolidge Corner to close down (no Dok Bua, no Rami's!), but now we're gonna watch some episodes of Max Headroom :)
