Arisia!

My local readers mostly know this, but lurkers may not: The arisia science fiction convention is this weekend, at its new location in Cambridge. I'm going over to help with setup tonight and will be around for much of the convention (probably commuting from home, so I don't know my precise schedule, for volunteering or other activities).

Note that we are planning to hold a Shabbat service at-con on Friday night (egalitarian and with lots of singing). redknight offered his suite on the 6th floor, and it is likely to be held at 6:30pm, but we will post flyers with confirmed time and location (or I can e-mail interested people with updates).

Buttons: No, I don't have a vendor table this year, but I will have my stock and equipment with me, and will probably set up somewhere semi-public for a while on Saturday as I've been commissioned to make buttons for the radio show folks.

Also, I designed the volunteer (staff) t-shirts, so I'm really hoping they came out OK. :-) I think I need to add a t-shirt section to my design website.

Hey. If you are also a member of weirdjews2 could you post this there as well. I know that boroparkpyro is going and sadly I won't be.

That is if the members of WJ2 haven't pissed you off lately. I don't know you. I usually just apologize for myself individually pissing people off on livejournal (I tend to get "you aren't really an asshole in person, how strange" a lot) so this is one of the few times that I've noted my community as a whole is pissing people off.

sorry to hear that you're not making it this time around -- I was looking forward to having the opportunity to toast a l'chaim to Tzvi (which would likely have been over juice boxes of grape juice anyway, given that it most likely would have had to be in the consuite or lobby or something, but still...)

oh -- I standardly assume that these sorts of things are Bring Your Own Siddur, but I also expect greater SMOM[inyan]F to have planned for any logistical anything...

Per usual, I'm not sure if I will make it to any panels at all. :-) Only I should have Tiger Boy with me at least some of the time, so maybe we will.
