This week's highlights

Grandmothers: No changes as of yet.
New computer: Purchased and set up! First box did not function; back to MicroCenter for direct exchange, second one works fine. Whew. Also, I am now the proud owner of a 2GB USB thumb drive.
Adobe Creative Suite 2: Ordered! Due to arrive Tuesday. I'm also going to order NoteWorthy Composer... and sync up my Treo for the FIRST TIME EVER.
Old computer: Dying! But not dead yet. And fortunately, Tiger Boy figured out how to enable file-sharing between the two PCs across the Ethernet, so all 2.5 GB of useful files from the old box are now safely transferred to the new box. It's so nice to have an MIT Ph.D. around the place.
Project #1 (Kreyol workbook): In progress! Have laid out 4 of, um, 24 chapters. Also still awaiting mss for front and back matter (due Tues). In theory, page proofs need to be complete by this Friday.
Project #2 (Ray Tracing textbook): Signed! Design sample due Wed (after CS2 arrives); full sample ch's 1-2 due Fri.
Bat mitzvah invitations: Done! except for the address labels, list data to come this week from the family.

eesti pending new Photoshop software; miraclaire, I'll get back to you shortly about scheduling our next meeting, honest.)
Taxes: Done! Succumbed and bought tax software this year, for peace of mind. Small state refund, nontrivial but manageable federal payment.
Home office: A shambles, but I may still make some more progress on it this week. Did a bunch of file reorganization in the course of tax prep, so that's good.
Dinner tonight: Planned. Chicken-and-white-bean chili. Must head out ca. 6:30pm to pick up remaining ingredients.
Contra dancing: This Tuesday! At MIT (so more geared toward beginners than the hardcore Thursday Night Contras). I haven't gone in way too many months. Anyone else interested?
Expanded to-do list will have many more entries, but I think this will suffice for today. Also, must type up last month's shul board meeting minutes to submit before tomorrow night's meeting...
