Friday night (after shul): Prisoner of Azkaban with [livejournal.com profile] melissaagray's party. I liked it as much as I can like any rendition so painfully compressed; it was about as faithful as it could be, as far as it went, but I agree with [livejournal.com profile] alaria_lyon about certain Glaring Omission(s). Saturday morning I began rereading the book, which is my favorite of them thus far and it's been some time since I read. There are lots of bits that they managed to throw in that I didn't even remember were verbatim quotes, and that pleases me.

Anyway, on with Saturday: more shul, more reading, a blissful 1.5 hour nap, then dragged [livejournal.com profile] tenore to [livejournal.com profile] greenlily's Vox Lucens concert (Renaissance music, in this case Spanish polyphony; great fun), and thence to an engagement party at MIT before zonking out at 11:30pm.

Sunday: midmorning laundry, newsletter committee meeting at the shul, closet shopping with [livejournal.com profile] ablock, [livejournal.com profile] folzgold's high school graduation open house (yay congrats!). Finally, dragged [livejournal.com profile] kalessin to see [livejournal.com profile] jencallisto et al. in Zamir's spring concert (also great fun). I determined that "Papir iz dokh vays" is the Jewish version of Roses are red, violets are blue ("Paper is white, ink is black; to you, sweet darling, my heart is drawn").

Tonight: Lion rehearsal, in which my cunning plan is cut, as if there could be spoilers on a 40-year-old play... ) Tomorrow night: possible date with Kosher Boy if I can reschedule seeing Shrek 2 with [livejournal.com profile] kalessin. This Friday: Shabbat dinner at Tremont Street; who's coming? Sign up by tomorrow! Next Friday I leave for a week in California with the fam... that'll be fun, I don't often visit when it's actually pool-going weather.

*le sigh*

Acting is hard.

But fun. I assume it will get easier (or at least slightly more natural) when we don't all have scripts in our hands the whole time.

And in other news, guess what is the top Google hit for geek buttons? No, don't guess, try it.
Google

For my next trick, I am sorely tempted to write My Life in 15 Minutes, a la [livejournal.com profile] dragonfriek a la [livejournal.com profile] m15m. Maybe tomorrow.
