I am home!
Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 10:00 pmFrom an amazing weekend of birthday/yomtov/HONK! festivity.
Also, newsflash: I am now 40 and, unrelatedly, registered to vote in NYC. (But I still have to trade in my MA driver's license, which officially expired on Saturday. I'd tried, but it turns out that first I have to replace my Social Security card, which is, for anyone eligible for a SS card, a mandatory adjunct to the process of acquiring an NYC driver's license. Feh.)
I can't possibly thank everyone enough for all the various special efforts made to help me feel loved and celebrated (not to mention hosted and fed). When a whole houseful of dear friends and loved ones sang Happy Birthday for me, my heart was filled to overflowing with joy and gratitude. That's completely what I wanted to take into my new decade.
Also also, I am tired :-} Gonna call my mom to report in, finish unpacking, and head to bed. Pictures gotta wait.
