chanaleh: (breathe)
[personal profile] chanaleh
I am hanging out at work getting some stuff done while I wait for Kinkos to finish printing my order [hey, they just called, I better get this wrapped up], so:

[livejournal.com profile] lyriendel tagged me in the "list one thing that made you happy every day for 8 days" meme. Rather than start with today, or with Sunday when she (ostensibly) tagged me, I'm arbitrarily going to shift backwards a bit. I'm pleased to say that the difficulty lies in narrowing down the happy-making, although I am also-arbitrarily deciding that if I can kludge them into a single sentence, that qualifies. :-)

Thursday 12/11: Successfully got the shul newsletter into the mail (with [livejournal.com profile] ablock's help), and still managed to catch the second half of The Future Rabbi Breindel's highly enjoyable talk on "Jews in Science Fiction" at TBB, where I saw a marvelous number of people I know from different directions.

Friday 12/12: Got a long-overdue massage from [livejournal.com profile] chaiya, plus some additional quality downtime, before the very successful 20s&30s Shabbat dinner at [livejournal.com profile] tremontstshul.

Saturday 12/13: Honorable Menschen's CD release concert drew about 100 people (!) and was a veritable lovefest on a scale I haven't seen since, well, my wedding.

Sunday 12/14: The [livejournal.com profile] tremontstshul Chanukah Art & Craft Fair was actually a worthwhile venture for most of the people displaying (and mostly a good time even for those that didn't sell anything), and then I got the fun of vast quantities of cheese and champagne in the good company of [livejournal.com profile] justom. [[livejournal.com profile] firstfrost, I'm sorry I didn't really get to do more than wave at you guys! It all comes of running back-to-back events, thereby invariably showing up late...]

Monday 12/15: I had a productive day at work, making up somewhat for freaking out at my boss the preceding Thursday (q.v.), and made a reasonably successful quasi-tuna-casserole in under half an hour when I got home.

Tuesday 12/16: The promotional postcards I ordered for the Menschen and for [livejournal.com profile] tremontstshul arrived today, and OMG do they look awesome!

We'll just have to see what goodness the next two days have in store...
