June 2009 calendaring
Monday, June 1st, 2009 11:09 amWith the TigerParents in town last week, we took the opportunity to finally try out Highland Kitchen last Tuesday night (on Highland Ave., natch, about 4 blocks from our place and even closer to
muchabstracted's new place).
It turns out that they have spelling bees on Tuesday nights! Which of course J and I had to sign up for, and guess what? I WON! $25 gift certificate, baby! (Which means next time I'm totally ordering the elderflower margarita. :-) Apparently no one EVER wins two weeks in a row, so it was very tempting to make plans to go back next Tuesday... and so we have, with
muchabstracted and the visiting
dushai and
elissali. 9:30pm tomorrow night every Tuesday, for those who are interested. ETA: It has been suggested to me that I not try to blithely open up our actual small-group dinner gathering for tomorrow night to the entire world. Which was, er, really not my intention in the first place either, oops. But (a) it is a public event and all, and (b) it is a weekly thing and I hope to make additional appearances in future... and/or at least continue to spread the word!

The event features a pre-screening costume contest, judged by members of the Huntington cast." Tickets $6-$9: http://coolidge.org/node/2359 or call 617-734-2500.

Date: Monday, June 1st, 2009 06:28 pm (UTC)Omigod, this so fits my particular flavor of nerdiness massively better than trivia nights ever did. Count me there, as it's the perfect excuse to try out Highland Kitchen while I'm at it.
