jessruth arrives tonight, and we will ring in the New Year with a relatively mellow and restorative long weekend.

I have been pondering the various year-in-review memes, and feeling a bit too heartsick to tackle them, overall. It seems like 2009 was rough on a lot of people. Let's hope that 2010 delivers better on its promises.
