Yom Kippur went well. An hour nap in the afternoon helped immensely.

I got the honor of peticha (opening the Ark) during Ne'ilah, the closing service. They gave it to me last year, too. It meant a lot to me.

Mary Chung's is a pretty good place to break the fast, especially with a good group of friends around. A second dinner of sushi four or five hours later doesn't hurt, either.

I have now finally put in an official appearance at one of [livejournal.com profile] penghuin's parties. The collective hotness was... impressive.

[livejournal.com profile] awfief, [livejournal.com profile] fes42, and [livejournal.com profile] stranger78 rock the house. Or, specifically, the attic. Thanks, guys!

"Hungry Like The Wolf" really is a powerfully sexy song. (Especially in the company of [livejournal.com profile] zed42. ;-)

I am capable of getting up and doing laundry at 8:30 am even when I didn't get to bed until 3.

I have decided to spend the afternoon at the office in order to bang out a bunch of these freelance projects hanging over my head. I also have to go grocery shopping, since I invited Tiger Boy over for dinner tonight.

But first, a late second-breakfast at Carberry's with [livejournal.com profile] ablock and [livejournal.com profile] xdaemon.

"Hungry Like The Wolf" really is a powerfully sexy song. Especially in the right company.

And Duran Duran have reunited!

I saw them headline at MixFest X last year where they spectacularly underwhelmed me. Sure they played well but they just looked old and bored.

I suppose it's not entirely their fault; BareNaked Ladies were on before them and put on an AMAZING show (as you would expect). Unfortunately, as soon as BareNaked were done, upwards of 60% of the audience left, leaving large empty holes in the seating at the FleetCenter. I'd imagine it's pretty hard to be enthused with that kind of response!

If you broke a fast, does that not imply you were fasting? There might be a long line of people waiting to give you at least a good long telling off...!
