Reason #187 why my mom rocks:
When we happened, today, upon a pair of knee-high zip-up purple Doc Martens in my size on sale for $35, she insisted that I should have them, and got them for me for Chanukah. Rarrr!

Since it's Monday where you are: Happy birthday, kalessin! And many happy recurrences.

Now, if I could just be reassured that my flights home tomorrow afternoon/evening won't be delayed, for weather or any other beyond-our-control reason, I'd be happy. Meanwhile, bed.
