1. My birthday! and all its festivities.
2. Simchat Torah! and all its festivities.
2a. The Tremont St. t-shirts are a big hit.
3. [deleted to protect the innocent]

4. Quick Museum of Science trip with [livejournal.com profile] penghuin. (Though I still haven't seen the LOTR exhibit. 12 more days!)
5. Two more birthday parties: one involving games, the other singing around a piano until all hours.

6. Sunday brunch at the Blue Room (which is not actually blue, but the food is wonderful) with [livejournal.com profile] tenore, whom it was very good to see again.
7. Went to the Galleria to shop for pants, because all of mine were too big on me (even the two pairs that had been small until recently). Tried on every damn pair of women's pants in Filene's. The pair I bought? A size 10, which I have never worn in my adult life. This probably won't last -- it happened last fall, too, and then I put the same 10 pounds right back on from January to April -- but I am damn well going to enjoy it while I can.
7a. There's also an H&M in the Galleria now, which (believe it or not) is notable for its wide selection of cheap Snoopy merchandise. Pajamas, underwear; I even got an umbrella!
8. Watched Ghost in the Shell with [livejournal.com profile] zed42, so now we can go see the sequel (before it leaves Kendall? Maybe).

9. Monday holiday brunch at Sound Bites with [livejournal.com profile] kalessin.
9a. ... who gave me a Snoopy watch! This is the most Snoopy-themed birthday I've had in years.
10. Took a long walk down to Fenway with Tiger Boy to check out this new outfit called 5W!TS, with an Egyptology-themed puzzle-type attraction called TOMB. The basic version of the tour wasn't all we could have wished for (Him: "But the puzzles were mostly not that interesting!" Me: "Do you think mixing an MIT doctoral candidate in among the 9-year-olds might have made it a wee bit unfair in terms of challenge level?"), but it was amusing, and prettily constructed, and a fundamentally cool idea.
10a. Got burritos for dinner and walked home again by way of the MIT Boathouse.
10b. Life is very good indeed.

11. [livejournal.com profile] tigerbright and [livejournal.com profile] teddywolf got married! This weekend! It was a secret, but I was in on it 'cause I did their ketubah. *grin*

Upcoming:
12. Dinner with [livejournal.com profile] points tonight.
13. Kosher Boy is reading his bar mitzvah Torah portion at Tremont St. next Shabbat. I may have to beg off leyning upstairs so I can hang out downstairs for that. :-)
14. Several more parties next Saturday night.
15. Shul-organized foliage hike to Mt. Wachusett next Sunday. And I can actually go this time!
16. The Red Elvises -- Russian surf pop! -- at the Middle East, also next Sunday night. (Also Rasputina -- cello rock! -- on Wednesday the 27th, but we'll have to see about that.)

I like the slogan on those t-shirts. And I'm glad the shul didn't go for, "Young adult singles? We don't have any, but if you come, others will come." If I had a dollar for every time I heard that...

... you could start your own thriving young adult minyan ;-)

No, we have a pretty good population at this point actually. We had about 80 people at our 20s&30s end-of-summer BBQ. Many of them new, many others returning or regulars (or even shul members).

Heh, my friend was just at wachusett this past weekend for the foliage, she said it was great - enjoy!
(btw, the walk down is very nice, it takes about an hour or so)
