Meme: The sum total of towns in which I have lived (defined as "for more than four weeks at a stretch"):

Dayton, OH (1972-1973)
Hobart, IN (1973-1974)
Valparaiso, IN (1974-1989, with some overlap through 1992)
Waltham, MA (1989-1996) (3 different residences including one summer sublet, plus 4 different Brandeis dorms)
Cambridge, MA (1996-present)

I am tempted to start spinning out alternate theories as to future increments on the list, but it is painful to contemplate, so I will not.

Dilemma: [livejournal.com profile] zacheiss, [livejournal.com profile] maputi_pirate, et al. are trying to recruit me into the chorus of Yeomen. It would undoubtedly be really fun... but I'm also thinking that if I don't give myself some downtime between shows, I may regret it.

I'm glad to see [livejournal.com profile] zacheiss is at least making some plausible requests for choristers...

(where "plausible" is defined as "currently living less than 500 miles away")

Sorry... I'm so not-helpful... Had to check too many of the answers... :-)

*grin* I wanted to check off about every other answer, so I decided that was just silly. :) I would love to be in another show with you, but since I'm not going to be in Yeoman, that's kind of irrelevant right now...;)

would like t o see you...

Oh yeah -- the production being at the very end of April, clearly I have a variety of April conflicts (and March for that matter) that would also have to take precedence. Don't worry!

I think this means I've been inside every place you've lived since you were 2. And the place I lived before I was two probably no longer even exists :)

Except, I'm not sure about wherever it was you lived your first summer of college - did you stay in Waltham? Was it the house on South Street across from WCRB?

No, no -- first summer (and third summer) of college, I went home to Valpo. Second summer was of course Russell Street. And beyond that, you're probably quite right. Which is a special distinction, all right. Probably only my mom can say the same. (Although she of course gets the before-I-was-two points as well :-)

No more of my friends will ever again get the chance to enter my childhood house. *snif*

True. On the other hand, if you even partially count living in the same dorm and semi-sharing my room, then I've actually lived in more places with you than she has. If you don't count the Castle, then we're tied :)

Are you sure? When I took Katy to visit Israel in 1994, we wandered to my old neighborhood in Haifa one day. I showed her the building I lived in from 1973-1977, and as we were looking at the yard, someone stepped out on the balcony of the apartment that used to be my family's. He asked if we wanted anything, I said what we were up to, he asked if my name was Inbar, and confirmed, and he invited us in to look around. He and his wife had bought the place from "Inbar" a few years back, though they'd never met us - my grandparents managed the place for us and rented it out for a long time, until my parents divorced. So he knew the name.
