Kendall Drugs is closing. As of, like, tomorrow.

I will miss them, mostly for their card selection, which was way better than the usual Hallmark line. And also for the principle of the thing. *sigh*

You now know as much as I know. :-/ Lost their lease, apparently. In other words... one more family business priced out. (And I don't think the CVS going in on Main St. has even opened yet.)

It's a poor substitute, but in case you didn't realize, there's now a convenience store on the southwest corner of Tech Square. (A 7-Eleven, I think?)

C'mon over to eastern Belmont to Shore Drug! A wonderful independent pharmacy, with a great funky card selection and all kinds of bizarre tchotchkes. 297 Belmont street, a few doors west of School street.

I used them last month for a last-minute necessary prescription.

for a neighborhood *pharmacy*, though; I use ciampa which is on the corner of 6th and Cambridge.

they sell/rent durable medical supplies and they special-order medicine for me (they give me nice, personal treatment)

sad to see kendall go. when is the new cvs coming in? kendall needs a pharmacy (tho at least there's the kendall market for getting afternoon snacks)
