The weekend of Much Happy Weddingness is at an end. Large numbers of us have, accordingly, adorned ourselves and eaten and drunk and danced and sung and wept and loved and cherished. Amen.

I would write more, but I'm past due for bed. (Not, of course, before finishing up the shul newsletter layout... and then taking an extra hour to play around with a complete redesign for the fall issue. But hey.)

Quick personal note: I'm having what is technically minor surgery tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon, to have a mole removed. The procedure itself is only scheduled to take 30 minutes (1:45-2:15pm), but I really have no idea what to expect after that (in part because of the location of the excision, although it is above the waist). So I may be able to go back to work afterwards, and maybe even to Diesel later, but I'm thinking contra dancing = likely not such a good idea. Oh well. Wish me luck, anyway.

I've done the mole-removal thing more than once--generally about the same level of fun as getting a tooth drilled, except with considerably less noise, and the added joy of stitches... :-P And, of course, depending where it is, the prick for painkiller shot might be barely noticeable or excruciatingly agonizing... Best of luck. Chances are it will be numb and then it will ache a little. Take some asprin or something. Think of it as a bike accident with a really deep scrape in a strange location. That's what having a mole removed under my arm about 10 years ago was like for me.

A couple of years ago I had a mole removed from my arm. The experience wasn't too bad. My suggestion is that you spend the time looking outside the window, studying the pattern of the wind in the trees and try to ignore what's happening inside the office.

Hope all goes well. I had a large mole removed from the back of my leg about 15 years ago; the pain was minimal. Tylenol One is your friend. (Can you get that over the counter in the U.S.? Here in Canada it's one of those non-prescription medicines they keep behind the pharmacist's counter to prevent abuse or possibly theft.)

Haven't had a mole removed, but have had warts. Minor owie, some tenderness afterward. Depending on location, it's usually not a big issue. If under clothing, can be sensitive to fabric rubbing over the area.
