Corpse Bride
2005 (PG) 78 minutes
A FREE Sneak Preview
Wednesday, September 21 at 8:00pm in 26-100.

_Corpse Bride_ carries on in the dark, romantic tradition of Tim Burton's classic films _Edward Scissorhands_ and _The Nightmare Before Christmas_. Set in a 19th century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor (Johnny Depp), a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride (Helena Bonham-Carter), while his real bride, Victoria (Emily Watson), waits bereft in the land of the living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colorful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from his one true love. It's a tale of optimism, romance and a very lively afterlife, told in a classic Tim Burton style. [warnerbros.com]

One to ten, how was it?

I'm not a Tim Burton fan myself, and it is only because "The Nightmare Before Christmas" used to be on HBO ALL THE FRIGGIN' TIME that I finally, finally, finally bothered to watch to the end of that film.

This icon is my Chess Bride. It's not a good pic of her, but it's hard to find good pics that are 100x100 or smaller.

ah, seeing the word "Kendall" makes me homesick for Boston. even though in Boston I was always homesick for Princeton. still, hanging around Harvard reminded me a bit of hanging around Princeton, and I really miss playing in all those amazing Boston orchestras.

I don't know. I've been told I talk about it constantly. I should totally get a Hobbes icon that says "Princeton."

Feynman here went to Princeton for grad school.
