Happy Halloween!
Monday, October 31st, 2005 11:50 amFor Saturday night's party circuit, my wood-elf getup turned out gratifyingly well, but Tiger Boy's Beaker costume was the real smash. (Yes, we really did make it ourselves!) Pictures to come soon linked above, although if anyone reading has any others, I'd love to see them.
Tonight -- just to make sure no one misses hearing about this:
OCT 31 DRESDEN DOLLS HALLOWEEN BALL
http://www.boston.com/ae/events/articles/2005/10/26/horror_show/
The king and queen of cabaret punk, the Dresden Dolls, are known for encouraging fans to indulge their decadent, theatrical urges, and the duo’s annual Halloween soiree epitomizes dark glamour. The Dolls’ set will be preceded by the bands Devotchka, Faun Fables, and Via Romen, along with a menagerie of quirky acts including the noirish, neo-cabaret duo What Time Is It Mr. Fox? Avalon, 15 Lansdowne St., Boston. 617-423-6000. 8 p.m. $22.25. All ages.
However, I personally am not likely to go, despite the striped stockings* I am wearing today, because I am too old and tired and I'm going to go home and tend to my house and maybe even go to bed early.
jessruth, you'll be so proud of me.
*Orange and black. To match my, uh, tiger ears. I was so happy when another of my coworkers came in wearing black cat ears. :-)

Sweet dreams!
