The power just went out in my apartment.

... No, I take it back: in my *living room*. Humidifier is still running in the bedroom. Kitchen lights work, too.

Fuse, I guess. Hope someone other than me has a controlling interest in this one.

Damn, the front hallway is dark, though.

Also, yet another reason to love the Treo. :-) Good thing I wasn't in the middle of the longer entry I'd been planning to go compose on the laptop....

I'm confused. Wouldn't your laptop have a battery, and thus have been prevented from dying when the power went out?

You'd think that. ;-) But this particular laptop has a dead battery, or a fritzy one, or something, such that when you cut the power it dies. Period. Needless to say, it hasn't left the desk in quite some time.

I intend to replace the battery... around the same time I reinstall the OS and put in a wireless card. :-}
