I am home.
And kind of at loose ends.

I had a lot of thoughts to write about while I was in CA, and now I mostly just feel numb and not like doing anything at all.

Which I guess means the thing to do is go buy some milk so I can make coffee, and watch ER on tape for the rest of the morning. And then perhaps I will feel more grounded.

Having gone to bed at 2:15, I slept until almost 10. Adjusted for Pacific time, this is about the same schedule I kept all week :-)

Long-distance travel has a way of undoing good intentions as well as distracting the mind from the thoughtfulness and stillness of time away. I find the trip back after a vacation to be a bit jarring, I return to Boston always a little at odds with myself.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

I'd say, take today to do relaxing things, maybe some catching-up things. If you're feeling social later, I'm thinking some kind of low-key group-dinner thing might be a good idea... Call or email...

Funny how that's now a good thing...
