TBS BBQ (OMG WTF)
Thursday, May 26th, 2005 11:54 pmOhhhh, so very tired.
All things considered, we've been lucky with weather for like the past dozen barbeque events in a row, so I can't be too upset about finally having crappy weather for one. (It's been frigid and steadily raining here for several days straight. Nice weather for early March, not so good for late May, even in New England. We steadfastly hoped it would break by tonight, but no such luck.) I kept saying, "Look, if G-d Himself doesn't see fit to send us good weather for Lag B'Omer... how can we complain?"
We recovered well enough, cooking burgers (and toasting marshmallows) in the kitchen instead of out on the grills.
There were other good and interesting things that happened this week, but at the moment I cannot remember most of them. Oh: finally finished
coraline and
nacht_musik's ketubah, which (kaynahora) I will get to deliver tomorrow (and maybe we can post it next week so you all get to see!). Lunch yesterday with
justom, who continues to rank among the cuter things on the planet. :-) And some quality time (and even some useful conversations) with my sweetheart... who has now gone home for the long weekend, so will miss all the festivities here, alas.
"You make me laugh more than any other girl... like, ever. [...] Plus you do random cool stuff, like the buttons. Random cool stuff counts for a lot with me."
Cambridge feels emptier without him in it.
Also: finally got my federal tax refund, woohoo!
