February 2009 calendaring

Subject to some revision as Winter's Tale rehearsals get fleshed out later in the month.

Also, after some recent discussions, I want to gather people to watch our video of The Lion In Winter from 2004. ablock offered to host, unless someone else overrides him. :-) Based on the below, I propose Tues 2/10, Sun 2/15 (afternoon or evening), or Wed 2/18. Anyone? ETA: So far, Wed 2/18 seems to be winning (sorry, Iago), so I am pencilling it in. Confirmation/details to come via email, so please comment if interested.


SUN 2/1:
12:30-2pm zigguratlabs debrief/brunch
2:30-5pm Menschen rehearsal
6pm Super Bowl (small gathering back at ablock's featuring, among other treats, chanaleh's matzah ball soup. SOUP! Get it? I missed most of the game, but the soup came out pretty well...)

MON 2/2:
Groundhog Day (I've got a ton of work to do at home tonight, but I do have the video, maybe I should put it on in the background...)

(No, I'm not auditioning. Performance dates are Friday, May 1 - Saturday, May 9, 2009, which conflicts with The Winter's Tale. I've sung chorus in Io twice before, and would have tried out for a lead if auditions had been before those for WT, but -- here we are.)

Also, second weekend of Intimate Apparel, which you should all go see because it's a really well-crafted little piece. I would seriously go again if there were another performance I could make. :-}

I could watch Lion in Winter on 2/18 (oddly, for a Wednesday); maybe 2/15 too, though I was kind of eyeing that date to host an event of my own. :)

Weren't we talking about it after Harvey? Watching the video, that is, if not so much the play itself. And on Friday night at Intimate Apparel, due to the number of beds prominently featured in the set, desireearmfeldt and I were reminiscing about the Lion bed to J (it having been just slightly before his time, by 24 hours or so). :-)

We did mention it, yeah, but I don't recall anything sounding like an inspiration to watch it again, so I thought there must've been something else. Or perhaps I've forgotten part of the conversation.
