Anderson (Is Coca-Cola an effective spermicide?), Michael Ricca performing songs from the Ig Nobel Operas, the Performing Scientists from Harvard and MIT, and other bits and pieces. Part of the Cambridge Science Festival. Adults: $35. Students: $20. To reserve tickets, email kcf@centralsquaretheater.org. 8pm Apollinaire Theatre Company's Men of Tortuga: "In an undisclosed location, three men scheme with a weapons specialist to eliminate the opposition in Jason Wells' dark comedy of negotiation, conspiracy and assassination. Tom Avery, Jeff Kling and Kit Maxwell are three power-brokers who will stop at nothing to wreck an historic meeting with an elite political enemy. But when Maxwell takes a young idealist [the lovely and talentedjustom] under his wing, his long-dormant conscience begins to reawaken. The cabal is forced to concoct even more outlandish scenarios of annihilation and ponder whether their ends justify their means." Runs April 17-May 17, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00, with Sunday matinees at 3:00 on May 10 & 17. Location: Chelsea Theatre Works, 189 Winnisimmet St., Chelsea. $18 in advance, $20 at the door (student rush tickets $15, one hour before each performance with valid ID).
