Virtual Yardcycle, part 1

So, justom has arrived in Boston for the summer :-) and we're trying to get him settled into my apartment. Also, jessruth came up this past weekend and we spent a little time sorting through crap in my office.

So I now have an even larger "giveaway" pile which I'm going to put up here before I start Freecycling it all. If you want any of it, holler and we'll make handoff arrangements. (Takers in the Boston area get first dibs for convenience; otherwise, we can discuss.)

Electronics and tech trash:
- set of computer speakers
- iomega zip drive
- Polaroid Amigo 620 camera
- Realistic Concertmate 750 keyboard (small; takes 6 AA batteries but I THINK it works otherwise)
- color-changing LED light (the 5" round press-on kind)

Clothes and shoes:
- Monty Python bunny slippers ("Huge... Fangs!")
- red & yellow striped over-the-knee socks (bought these at Lunacon, never worn)
- size 14 periwinkle blue formal gown
- women's size 11 dress shoes:
* black patent open-toe pumps (high heels)
* strappy silver sandals (high heels)
* strappy white dyeable sandals (low heels)
* black leather Born maryjane-style (flats)

Housewares, crafts & games:
- a small bag of fabric bits
- Sculpey (a.k.a. polymer clay) of various colors & some tools
- stack of ~100 business card backing magnets (I bought these not realizing that the VistaPrint business cards I get are trimmed scant of the full standard 2"x3.5", so they don't fit)
- four sheer white (nylon?) curtain panels with hooks (I can measure them if you care)
- blue and gold Balinese sarong
- pair of gold-painted plaster "pineapple" style bookends
- Toobers & Zots (one shoebox worth)
- 500-pc Van Gogh jigsaw puzzle
- 250-pc Harry Potter jigsaw puzzle
- Royal Game of Ur set
- plastic Snoopy Christmas ornaments (set of 3)

There will be more later, oh yes.

(I have to note that I found the Royal Game of Ur the most incredibly BORING game I have ever attempted to play, to the point where I was like "They cannot POSSIBLY have reconstructed the rules correctly." But I was fascinated enough to take several pictures of the display of it in the British Museum. :-)

Yeah, you know, much as I like them aesthetically, they're falling into the category of "not really serving any function in my life at present". Anytime I would dress up enough to wear them, I don't actually *want* to wear them. And I'm sufficiently done with height play for this phase of my life that I am more than set with the couple pairs of stompy boots I already have.

Anyway, if no one claims the Size 14 gown and socks after a long enough interval, I would gladly send you a check and you can stuff them into a flat rate post box at your convenience, if that's agreeable to you.

OMG, I think my brother got those same bookends for his bar mitzvah! (Definitely gold-plated pineapple, not sure what material it was underneath.) For some reason I find this very amusing.
