The question is, did you call yourself vivacious as sheer coincidence, or in a deliberate attempt to make me look silly? ;-)

Stupid, stupid cut and paste. Pasted the wrong URL.

I was referring to the first comment in this thread.

Aha!

*snort* Well, had I seen the original comment, I would have been sure to find a reason to use "vivacious" in your presence anyway... so this is just as good.

But also you spelled my username wrong ;-)

Corrected. And you know, that sort of looks like you...

Did I ever tell you about the production of The Heidi Chronicles I saw? Heidi's Jewish friend calls her "Heidele" throughout the show. And this poor Midwestern troupe didn't know any better than to pronounce it "hei-DELL-leh." Took me two thirds of the show to understand what he was supposed to be saying.

Ooh, that rings a bell... something similar I picked up on once, what *was* it?

-- Oh! It was on the X-Files! The episode Kaddish, which was about a golem, and was set in an Orthodox community. Anyway, among the main characters are this woman and her father, and in classic Yiddish style she calls him Tateh. Only apparently they didn't know to tell her it was pronounced "TAH-teh", so throughout the episode she's calling him "ta-TAY". >:-) I was surprised.
