My brother (in Mountain View) just sent me a Kindle for my birthday. With an additional gift certificate for some content.
This is... well. Let's just say it's an unusually generous offering. I asked him if he was trying to make up for 6 years' worth of presents at once. :-}
Wow.
... We have a somewhat complex relationship history. We're not exactly estranged, we just don't really talk, like, ever. And it's been like that for decades. And I think a lot of it is really my fault from, like, very early in our lives, that we've never really resolved or addressed.
I think the point may be that this is part of the Yom Kippur work I need to do. Not all of it, but a significant part.
Shabbat shalom, y'all, and gmar chatimah tovah. May we all be sealed for goodness in the new year.
