Time now for only a very quick update, to say that I enjoyed the trip very much, cold and rainy weather notwithstanding.
Road-tripping down and back was great fun, although it was a bit stressful not to be able to share the driving with C (I can't drive stick, alas). Day trips into DC both Friday (with C) and Saturday (with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ablock) were really exciting; I'd never set foot in DC before at all, ever. The Library of Congress is about the most amazing building I've ever seen in this country. And Saturday's main focus was spending the afternoon at the Holocaust Museum, which was heavy but worthwhile (and then coming back and talking to geraty and dhs about it was especially powerful).
The con itself was good -- I guess! given that, oddly, I hardly spent any time doing con things; but I felt like I got some good hangout time with most of the people I cared about seeing, and that was the important thing.
So, all in all, reentry today has been a little rough... but I'm getting there. :-)
