Catching up

I made some customizations to my journal style page today. Small, but I am pleased with them. Go me!

I finally bought my tickets last week to visit my extended family in CA, the end of June/beginning of July. Unfortunately, I'm going June 27, which means I must miss roozle and sunspiral's next shindig. Waah! But on the positive side, it will be a pleasant break, involving lots of sunshine and downtime for reading. Also, the itinerary includes a side trip for me and Mom up to Portland, OR for the July 5 wedding of my best friend from junior high and high school! (I was a bridesmaid in her first wedding... while we were still in college. Heh.) I don't think I've seen Sierra since she moved away from Indiana, and I've never been to the Pacific NW. Yay!

Work is still pretty crazed, but I've gotten several of the smaller projects under control. So I'm now tackling the big one which I've been putting off for about 6 weeks (because I just couldn't afford the 12 or so consecutive hours it was going to consume). This is a good thing.

And there continues to be some relationship angst... but also much happiness. On which, more later.

If you're coming to Northern California I have to say "Sunshine yes but don't expect warmth. It doesn't work that way here" I'm still sleeping with two comforters on top of me and socks.
