Tired and email-less
Monday, September 22nd, 2003 03:52 pmWorld is soooo down. Dammit. Can't retrieve anything I was supposed to deal with today. Hope there wasn't anything crucial (if you need to hear from me on something, resend it to me at work!).
I'm auditioning tonight for Honorable Menschen (an a cappella group, sort of in the Manginah/Techiya/Magevet vein). Haven't completely decided what to sing them for my audition, but I think a simple rendition of Psalm 23. That's at 8:30 in Davis Square. After that, all I can think about is going to bed early. I woke up at 5am again this morning, and got a little more sleep thereafter but not very soundly. Which means I'm more tired than I ought to be, which makes everything else seem like more effort than I can muster. Send out Rosh Hashanah cards! Shyeah...

Date: Tuesday, September 23rd, 2003 02:33 pm (UTC)I'm more of an alto too, truth be told (or mezzo, certainly), and that's usually where I get placed, especially as I have a decent ear for the harmonies. But I'm capable of singing soprano -- I got up almost to high C in the range test (they claimed I hit it, though I was straining by that point and it kinda cracked! boy, could I stand to take up lessons again, but that's another story), and as their soprano lines don't go above an F# currently, they said I should be OK on that score.
It's a nice bunch of people; I know several of them already, at least in passing. I am hopeful. :-)
