Costume pictures, take 1

For those of you who haven't seen (I keep forgetting there are people who read my journal and perhaps not those of all my friends... :-)

Happily, coraline took some pictures of the Oct. 26th parties that included my Maenad costume.

Though I'm near the bottom of the stack on that page (as I arrived lateish), so if you're dialing up, you might skip to this shot. (That's coraline dressed as a Dryad; when I walked into the party, I was immediately told "Oh, you two have to get a picture together!")

So, three parties down -- and at least two more to go on Nov. 2 :-)

Oooh, very nice! But what's the Greek? Can't quite read it in the photo.

It says "Dionysos". :-)

For which I had to find a graphic online of the Greek spelling, and then I drew it on in the mirror as part of my makeup.

(I wanted it to look like a henna tattoo -- so I did it in my favorite lipliner, which is about that same color. And someone [in fact, one of my quasi-secret crushes!] at the party asked me if it *was* henna, so I guess it worked.)

Nice pictures, specially that one and the one with the cat. Although, I have to learn not to look at online photos when my supervisor is looking over my shoulder. :)
