I went out at lunchtime and got stompy boots!

For $25! (Okay, they're from Parade of Shoes, so they're not the greatest boots in the world. But they came in size 11 and they were on double sale and my other black boots have sprung a leak. So.)

They're actually pretty similar in style to the pair(s) I picked up for jessruth at Penny Lane, but in black (and in my size and price range ;-)

And as a side benefit, they also happen to make me 6'1". Consider yourselves warned >:-)

Ooooo! Can't wait to see you in Extra-Tall mode. Payless is actually quite good for cheap and comparatively well-made (vinyl) footwear. My black boots were $19 there.

I do buy a fair percentage of my shoes at Payless, too. Though the bonded leather tends to crack across the toes after several months.
