TBS Community Passover Seder (2nd Night)
Tuesday, April 6
6:00 pm services (upstairs) / 6:30 pm seder (downstairs)

This year at Tremont Street we are happy to continue the tradition of holding a second-night Community Seder at the shul. One of last year's attendees called it the "most engaging Judaism" they had ever experienced.

Led by TBS member Avi Weiss (recently engaged, mazal tov!)
Fed by TBS member Barbara Model (fleishigs! with ample vegetarian options)
Cost (reduced from last year!): TBS members $40, Non-members $50, Full-time students $25.

All are welcome to join us! RSVP by Monday, March 29 by calling the shul office (617-864-6388), or submit your paid reservation online at http://www2.tremontstreetshul.org/seder.html.

Oh, it would be so great if you guys would come! *dances about*

Kids: From what I recall in the past couple years, the seder itself tends to be relatively adult in focus. But there are usually a good handful of small- to medium-sized kids and they seem to get a lot out of it. The seder is pretty complete, but Avi (who's a highly charismatic character as well as a rabbi's son) zooms through the dry parts, and we do a lot of singing and stuff.

Alef-Bet: I'm not sure I can personally give feedback, but from what I understand, the teachers are very dedicated and parents overall have very positive feelings about it. Would you like an actual reference of someone to talk with you about the place?

Well, right now we are in the lottery for the Stata's childcare center, and we'll know about whether we got in during Pesach week.

If we don't get lucky with the lottery, we'll consider TBS preschool. I'll keep you posted. thanks for the help!

the lottery for the Stata's childcare center

Ooh, in Toontown? Funky! (And no, I don't really want to kick off a Gehry-bashing flamewar here...) Is that where S is going to be, or was the lottery open to anyone on campus?

You should try for the Eastgate center instead, because then they might get [livejournal.com profile] gosling for a teacher. :-)

Oh! I didn't realize that. The thing is, their dad is now working in Stata---and it would be very nice to have them all in the same building.

Right now, Sonia is at 765 Concord, and the twins are at 725 Concord, and we're off of Concord in Belmont Center. Next year she'll be in Newton Corner, so I'd like to consolidate family physics where I can.

PS

Doesn't Anne teach the 4-year-olds? They'll be in Preschool I, with the 3-year-olds.
