Wah! No post-show drinks or party for me, I leave for Simon's Rock reunion weekend right after the show, returning Sunday afternoon (so I can't see the second performance no matter how much I'd like to...)

(there's a small chance I might feel too tired for the cross-state drive, which would allow me to have a drink and visit Pup's, but in that case, i must get to sleep early so I can leave wicked early in the morning)

Orleans sounds good - well, "with me, jessruth, greenlily et. al." sounds good; I don't actually know Orleans, but whatever. I'll probably even be there, with whatever additional friends may want to come and be welcome.

I'll cast-party after Saturday; don't much care where that is. If the mob goes to ablock's, then so it will be.

Actually, after consulting with A&J, it sounds like the striking mob will go where the striking goes, and hang out there to order pizza and such. And I will stay for an hour or so and then proceed to ablock's, and anyone who's interesting in coming with me can do so.

well, farwing says she'll come (again) on Saturday and try to drag a friend. and jadia's planning to come tomorrow... but yeah, it's weird how the vast majority seem to be planning on tonight.

Can you or navrins recommend a good place to eat an early dinner right around the theater?

navrins seems not to like much of anything, foodwise, so probably has little to recommend. ;-) Don't know if you resemble him in that regard!

But there are actually lots of places to eat in Davis Sq., mostly in the Elm St./Holland St. stretch. I do recommend Johnny D's which has early dinner (their shows don't start until later on in the evening). If you like Indian, Diva and Namaskar are both good. Redbones is very good if you like BBQ. mrmorse and I have eaten at the Burren and the Joshua Tree as well as the Rosebud Diner, all of which are serviceable.

Not at all. Probably used to when I was young, but I always ate Pizza at least, unlike him! Truly, I am much more adventurous food-wise then he is.

Is there a Chinese Restaurant close by within walking distance? That's Dad's favorite.

There are in fact a couple of Chinese places around (though I can't personally vouch for any of them). I think they might be mostly of the glorified-take-out variety, rather than really sit-down, but hey, it's dinner. There's at least one of those right on College Ave, down the block from the theater church.

Yes, there's a chinese restaurant - China Sun? - in the square, between College Ave and Holland Street. (Or at least, there was some years ago; I've no reason to think it's gone now.)

Where is Holland Street exactly? I know the Tufts side of College Ave, not the Davis Square side.
