May you all be written up for a good and sweet New Year. (Seems an appropriate LJ-wish.)

I'm leaving shortly for Swampscott, where I will be singing in the High Holiday choir at Temple Israel for the, what, eighth year in a row? It's not the kind of synagogue I would choose to affiliate with in general (they are Conservative but in a rather Reform-feeling way, including the organ and, yes, choir for HH's), but they've become oddly mine, my High Holiday family in a shadow of the way that Tremont St. is my year-round family. How are you? How's your year been? It's so wonderful to have you here! You sounded great!

Speaking of year-round family: Dinner tomorrow and Friday night at [livejournal.com profile] ablock's. I'm looking forward to it.

I have sent out a few Rosh Hashanah greetings, but not enough. I have made some notes (mental and otherwise) on topics of self-reflection, but not enough. I have at least one letter of apology, if not reconciliation, that I still need to write. But maybe I can get to it later tonight, when I come home to bed.

Happy New Year, with love.
