And it's hard to imagine how all the remaining performances could manage to be as utterly rockin' as tonight, but, y'know. You'll have to take your chances!

And [livejournal.com profile] navrins has even put up some pictures already.

Are MIT employees in the alumni/etc price category, or "General Public"?

Employees are general public this time around.

When [livejournal.com profile] danamae and I went there, we were told alumni were in the general-public category as well. I felt a bit misled, having seen pretty much exactly the text posted here (and, worse, forwarded it to friends), but it was still a good show, and I still recommend going.

You're kidding.

Sigh. I can't believe how much discussion went into deciding exactly what the $8 category was, and they *still* got it confused all over the place. (I'm told the posters are wrong too.)

This is actually the first I realized that, not having been privy to the discussion/decision process.

Was it considered to be that important to the bottom line? I've always thought it was a nice gesture of goodwill to give "community" the second-tier rate. If they only count as general public, there's no reason to list them (us) out separately at all.

I don't know the reasoning, only the result. You can ask Garry. And officially they weren't to be listed separately at all (and in fact I don't think they are anywhere).

And yet another example of "communication sucked."

A set?

A set? What's that about?

However I must point out that I see mushrooms there.

That amused me as well. =)

Bassists, bassists everywhere, but none are in the pit...

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that there are exactly 4 pit bassists in the world. Harvard has one, Binghamton has one, and the other two seem to have been sucked onstage...

(I can't remember if I saw a bass in the orchestra at the Sitzprobe... and I can't tell conclusively from those photos...)
